I’ve been so busy the last few months with normal mom-life and supporting lots of LONG client labors!! It’s been such a happy state of chaos.

One thing I have been particularly excited about is hiring a new birth doula and lactation counselor to join me in the practice.

This step has been something I’ve been hoping and praying for over the last few years, but I have not been able to find the right person till now…

MEET GRACE WAINWRIGHT

Grace comes to the practice with several years of experience in hospital healthcare as a registered nurse (RN). As a sister of 8 and Aunt of 11 nieces and nephews, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum have been huge passions of hers for many years. She is already proving to be a skilled birth doula and lactation counselor for our client families.

As a resident of DeKalb, IL… Grace will primarily be focused on serving our client families in South Elgin, St. Charles, Geneva, Genoa, and DeKalb. Her main hospitals of focus will be Delnor Hospital and Kishwakee Hospital. She will also be supporting area birth centers and CNM-supported homebirths.

I’m so excited to welcome her to The Elgin Doula practice. I know she is going to be a HUGE blessing for our client families as we grow!

Grace is currently accepting January 2025- May 2025 births clients.
